Our State-of-the-Art IVF Laboratory
The design of our laboratory at Inovi Fertility & Genetics Institute, just like the design of the clinic, is one of the most advanced in the country, with the sole purpose of the production of healthy embryos and provision of the most up-to-date IVF services. Our laboratory was created by a highly experienced team with international expertise dedicated to excellence in the field of Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART).

Our IVF and patient experience is different from many other laboratories in Houston and throughout the country. We are centrally located in Houston, Texas with easy access from all parts of the town and airports for all of our international patients. In addition to having a beautiful recovery area for you to enjoy before and after your IVF procedure, there are several aspects of our facility that are superior to other facilities. We have anesthesiologists providing anesthesia to provide maximum safety and comfort during your procedure.
During your oocyte (egg) retrieval procedure, we bring the IVF laboratory to your bedside with our specialized Isolette. This equipment allows the eggs and embryos to remain in an environment similar to a woman’s body when the embryologists have to harvest, assess, and prepare the embryos for transfer. This environment minimizes stress to the embryos during these processes, which helps facilitate healthy embryo development. Each patient’s embryos have their own individual incubator to maintain environmental consistency for their embryos.
Due to global warming, Houston is at increased risk for storms, power outages and flooding. With this knowledge in mind, we installed a generator on the 5th floor to allow the IVF laboratory equipment to continue to protect the embryos, eggs and sperm in the event of a power outage. This ensures that no matter what is happening outside of our walls, the equipment inside of the lab will continue to function normally. Finally, a top of the line alarm system has been installed that continuously monitors the incubators and cryopreservation storage tanks 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year.
In addition to the high-quality laboratory equipment, the details of which are proprietary, our laboratory utilizes a complex HVAC air filtration system that optimizes the temperature, humidity, and overall air quality in the laboratory, regardless of outside weather and environmental conditions. These filters remove >99.9% of dust particles that are 300 times smaller than the diameter of a human hair, and the chemical filters to remove any toxic substances, harmful volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and air pollution from the outside. The air quality in the laboratory is continually monitored to assure that all components within the system are functioning at optimal performance at all times.
